Is this outdoor furniture difficult to assemble?

Not at all. With the exception of the log furniture all that you need is a philips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. Any specialty tools that might be needed are included with the hardware. While it is possible to assemble without help, a second set of hands makes the job go faster. All product includes excellent assembly instructions.

How long will the wood seal last?

The wood has a 3 step seal consisting of an antique stain, waterproofer, and UV protection. This is a very good sealant but unfortunately, there is nothing that will provide a permenent solution. The sun will eventually break down the UV coating and then attack the waterproofer, allowing moisture to damage the wood. How long the seal lasts depends on your climate and the amount of sun exposure. In snowy climates, bringing the furniture inside during the winter will also prolong its life.

Is rust a problem?

All metal on our outdoor furniture is powder coated to provide the best possible protection from rust. Care should be taken not to scratch or mar the surface finish during assembly or when moving, as any iron or steel product can rust when bare metal is exposed.

My bench arrived in a damaged box. What do I do?

Due to the weight and size of cast iron furniture, boxes do occasionally get damaged in transit. If your product arrives in a damaged box, inspect the contents in the presence of the driver, or if the damage is severe, refuse delivery. In the event that you do not discover the damage before the delivery person leaves, keep all materials including packaging. Contact the shipper (most have excellent online support).

I am missing parts.

This does occasionally happen. Just email customer support and we will promptly supply you with any missing pieces. The customer support email link can be found at the bottom of each page. For any damage or missing parts due to shipping damage, refer to the question above.

Can I get these designs to incorporate into other items?

At this time, the art castings are not available as a separate item. You are free to use the castings from your furniture in any way you wish as long as it is for personal use. All designs used in these products are protected worldwide by copyright laws as artwork and may not be incorporated into other items for resale without licensing through Painted Sky Designs Inc.
